here are some tips for you to wake up feeling great and ready to take over the world:
- try to get at least 8 1/2 hours of sleep. that means if you have be up at 6AM for school, start catching ZzZzZs at about 9:30. it may sound wild early, but give it a try one night this week and see how much better you feel in the morning.
- create a sleep-friendly environment. turn off your TV, close your your blind/curtains, put your cell phone on silent. a good rest is your top priority.
- stop eating, exercising and studying at least two hours before you hit the sack. give your body time to wind down and you'll get a more sound sleep. personally, if i eat pizza or have milk before bed, i have the worst nightmares -- don't do it to yourself !
- whenever i'm having trouble falling asleep, i prop my feet up on a pillow, blanket or stuffed animal, take deep breaths, and squeeze my muscles all the way up my body starting with my little toes. i don't know why it works, but it does.
- NAPS. they aren't just for the little man in the video. naps >>> than shots of energy drinks. just don't take them in school -- wait until you get home and then zone out. you'll thank me later.
